Generally, I like Romance and Romantic Suspense. Also Fantasy... you can never go wrong with a little magic in your life. I find real-life novels about broken people (whether they find redemption or not) to be rather depressing, so I avoid those as much as possible. Some of the many authors that people the library upstairs: Linda Howard, Jayne Ann Krentz, Jill Tattersall, Elizabeth Peters, Mary Stewart, Susan Anderson, Lori Foster, etc.. My favorite depends on the day, my whimsy, the weather... who knows?
I definitely prefer novels. I feel let down if my reading doesn't last at least a few hours.
Hmmmm... can I edit this later? Suburban Mom, reader since the age of three, ready to put pen to paper. Two sons, one darling husband, two cats and a lot of fish.
I'll read that now. ;-)
I'm Charla, and on my good days I like to think I can write. Right now I'm working on Romance. I'm hoping to find some feedback, tips on how to power through when inspiration runs dry, and how to edit once you've spewed it all out.
I just love this group of people! I've only just joined, and am already looking forward to the next meeting.
