In this workshop, we'll move beyond basic git/github usage (see prerequisite links below) and cover some slightly more advanced git topics, such as:
Developing a stronger mental model of a git graph
Merging vs. rebasing
Comparing git with a couple of other source control systems
Dealing with binary files
Deploying and maintaining your own git server
Other topics and Q&A. There will most likely be some hands on work, so bringing your laptop is recommended, but not required.
