    NOMS is Glad everyone could come out to see us last night! We had a great discussion about various types of yeast and enjoyed tasting salami, several cheeses, homemade kimchi, kombucha, sourdough, and home-brewed beer...all of which are fermented by various yeasts (and in some cases bacteria!)     Hey I don't know if y'all have noticed, but Bubbling Bayou Community Ferments is a thing thats gotten going in the last couple months and we are really poppin off right now and have lots of exciting opportunities.       For this workshop, we will be focusing on yeast fungi. While quite variable in its capabilities, several yeasts are responsible for the fermentation process which brings us the yummy beer, wine, and cheese that we all know and love :)

      Thanks. I'm pretty familiar with the sciences … but I had not heard of that one before. The study of fungi. Okay. Learning cheese making would interest me but I very seldom get involved in drinking and it's not at all a part of my social life so that would simply be interesting but not that useful to me.
