Plant and seed swap potluck: plant propagation and division.

Let's come together for an afternoon potluck/cookout and swap plants and seeds. In the process we'll learn about propagating and dividing various species of fruit trees, herbs and corms. We have peach, persimmon, fig, loquat, pomegranate, avocado, mulberry and citrus trees on site here that are available for cuttings. We also have giant timber bamboo, banana plants, variegated ginger, yucca, lemongrass, rosemary, fennel and other herbs that we can divide, and seeds to share. Soon we will be losing the guerrilla Permaculture garden that we've been building over the last six years as it becomes our neighbor's parking lot. So come help us say farewell to the garden and help us find new homes for the many useful plants we've established here. Feel free to drop in any time in the afternoon between 2-5pm to take part in the potluck and plant swap. Bring containers if you'd like cuttings from the plants, or to donate to the cause of relocating some of the many useful plants on the lot.

Hey we just got back in town a week ago,I can't believe they're putting a parking lot there! We'll take as many cuttings as we can I have a place for it at a friend's house and that way when you have another lot you can take cuttings back! See you soon!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
