Come together to eat, chat and perhaps check out all the interesting things our gracious hosts have done with their home.
Ravi and Deb have installed a rainwater harvesting system, swales and related earthworks. They also have a pond which was recently stocked with fish. They've begun planting the beginnings of an edible forest garden along with a veg garden and a straw bale garden, and also have chickens, guinea fowl and peacocks. On the energy front , they've put in a solar system with battery back up and geothermal heating and cooling, so all in all there's plenty to talk about check out. One of our members, Noah Madlin, will lead a a discussion of permaculture related to Ravi and Deb's efforts to date.
Our hosts are also keen to learn, and are very open to ideas and experience sharing from the group as well.
Please bring a dish to share, along with your own reusable dinnerware and plates/cups.
There will be notecards for you to write down the ingredients of your dish, so that those who monitor their diets/allergies can be informed.
Please park beside the barn or in front of the house.
