A Plethora of Old Fashioned Vinegar-Based Drinks
Before the dawn of soda, our farming ancestors knew how utilize an overabundant harvest by preserving fruits and herbs in vinegar and honey to create a wide variety of tasty and healthful beverages. With a little creative thought and blending these ‘preserves’ can also be used in therapeutic ways as part of our continued quest to use our ‘foods as medicine’
Lacto-fermented Soda: A refreshing, pro-biotic drink!
We also will be learning how to make Lacto-fermented (pro-biotic rich and healthy!) soda using all natural "bugs" (NO! NOT the insect variety, it's just an olde timey name for our starter culture! ;) using seasonal, foraged & garden fresh ingredients (the berry harvests are coming!).
In addition, we will be 'perennial-izing' one of the ingredients we need to make LF soda so you can replicate the recipe more easily/inexpensively, at home!
