Hi there, I'm part of a VA permaculture meet up but never manage to make it down there. I think heading North is more my speed.
I noticed that a meetup friend was part of this group.
You've had some excellent meetups already, that I'm sad to have missed. I'm a city apt dweller, so anything small scale is applicable to my current lifestyle. I do hope to one day have my own permaculture homestead or be part of a permastead intentional community.
HI Jamie! WE LOVE KOMBUCHA !! My farmers market is a very local 100% bartering market to try to keep sustainability in the neighborhood and to be as big a locovore as possible. It is held every Saturday from 8:30am-10:340 am in my front yard 210 Murdock Rd 21212. Come by and trade!
OMG Jamie....It was great to meet you also....I know you guys are just roomies however you three make a beautiful family. I am so frustrated I cannot find your post...I am not tech savvy..Ugh!
Hi there! A Waldorf-inspired play group for infants sounds awesome! I have a couple of friends who are Waldorf teachers, and I love listening to them talk about their nurturing philosophy. Looking forward to meeting you, Everett, and Everett's dad if he wants to come :)
There are still Friday walks at Patterson Park once a month. Feb 8 was rainy and cold and no one showed up but there is one scheduled for March 8. There are also walks at Patterson this Sat, Feb 23 and Sat March 23. Here is a link to Patterson Park Audubon Centers's calendar: http://pattersonpark.audubon.org/site... and here is a link to Chesapeake Audubon's calendar. http://www.chesapeakeaudubon.org/Fiel... Hope that helps. Hugh
Jamie ~ Welcome to the group! I love the name "Trashure", very clever. I am guilty of buying things as well and putting them to the side, you just never know what and when you will need that little quirky something.
I'm sure you have some DIY ideas just screaming to come out. I like to search the internet for ideas so when I go to my favorite local junk place I can have something particular in mind but I also just like going just for the thrill of it.
