Do y'all mean plugs rather than spores?  Does anyone actually have the facilities for working with spores?

So, I have received from Mushroom Mountain, spores to inoculate an oak log with Shitake mushroom this fall. A large oak tree fell in the woods by my house and I am cutting out a 3 foot section for the mushrooms farm. It takes 6-9 months to harvest, but apparently lasts for several years, depending on conditions and the size of the log.  One can also use a sweetgum log. One can also use a stump for the cultivation.

I'm also learning about growing mushrooms this fall/winter and would love more information from those with experiences.

I also would love to join in a spore sharing program if one is available.

Thanks!

I plan on learning a lot more about mushrooms this fall/winter, & I'm interested in growing edible mushrooms indoors this season & outdoors in spring/summer/fall next year.

Does anyone have experience in this in the Philadelphia climate who could share? Pitfalls, lessons, etc.

And also, does anyone have any spores for edible mushrooms they could share, as I understand the spores on a single print are in the gajillions!

Thanks a lot!
Robyn
