I think this is worth a re-post:
Eastern PA Permaculture is listed in the credits for this documentary as an "Assoc Producer" -- that's how strongly I felt about getting this info out to folks (I donated, on behalf of the guild, to help make it a reality). EPPG member Tony M. Was actually there, helping to film & make it happen- he was taking a PDC with us at that time but felt compelled (with good reason) to go to Connecticut & help with the production.
John Gatto has since suffered a couple of strokes so this may well be his final appearance on film. In fact, John is ill & in need of support ($) as he received some awful "care"
in a facility where he went immediately following the 1st stroke so, if you'd like to contribute to help him out pls let me know & I will get you in contact with Richard Grove (Tragedy & Hope) where they are raising funds for John.
Anyway, long story short: John is a brilliant man, a polymath - if ever there was! - & a real hero to me & many others. He won the NY State Teacher of the Year award then, promptly, resigned via an op Ed in the Wall St Journal:
John has been speaking & writing on the subject of public Ed, underground (REAL) history of the US, etc. ever since (until he suffered the most recent strokes).
