Our New Monthly blog....
“Where there is no vision, the people perish..”
The blessing and curse of any intentional community always centers on the people in residence. To the extent that a vision of our future and a sense of meaning about what we are doing is active and in play, people, in the main, may be willing to cede some personal needs in service of a greater good, may be willing to give a bit of extra time to something that may not reward them personally; or be motivated to contribute to something that feels greater than the sum of parts. With a vision and sense of purpose personal disagreeables can evaporate or become backround noise. Cooperation and resonance take precedence over their negative counterparts. Read more here
Heathcote Sustainability Education Presents:
Ecovillage Immersion Internship Program
May 31- June 30, 2013
In this time of uncertainty and change in the world, its going to take more than our old modes of activism to turn the tides, its going to take our own personal transformation in learning to live from our wild and loving heart. Experience your own wild heart in this month long Immersion program, with roots in permaculture, re-wilding and personal liberation work.
Spend a month living in the beautiful wooded valley of Heathcote. We are a permaculture and farming demonstration site and 48 year old intentional community. Work on our organic farm, play in our stream, and learn skills that you can use for the rest of your life. Space is limited, apply online, write or call for an application or more information. We look forward to meeting you!

Permaculture Design Course Presentations
May 18, 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm followed by potluck dinner
May 19, 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm followed by dessert & graduation
Permaculture is a system of designing ecologically inspired landscapes that integrate food production, water management, renewable energy and shelter. This method mimics universal patterns found in nature to create abundant local produce and healthy communities.
Come see our Permaculture Design Course graduates present their Permaculture site designs! The presentation will include an introduction to Permaculture followed by examples of how Permaculture can be applied to urban, suburban, and rural properties, large and small. If you are curious about Permaculture or are considering taking the design course, this is a great opportunity to learn more.
Please bring a vegetarian potluck dish to share for Saturday dinner. We encourage you to use ingredients that were grown within 50 miles of your home to support local agriculture.
This is a free event. RSVP by calling[masked] or emailing [address removed]. The event will be at the Sherwood House in Cromwell Valley Park, Baltimore County, MD. Directions are posted online at: http://www.cromwellvalleypark.org/mapAndDirections.html
