Lundale Farm is offering an exceptional opportunity for a vegetable grower.  Can you help us find the right farmer for the 2014 season? Lundale is an historic 420 acre conserved property near Pottstown, previously owned by the Morris family and now a non-profit dedicated to promoting sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic farming as the highest and best use for land.

Lundale offers farmers affordable long-term land leases and also has on-farm housing.  We are not a farm incubator.  We are looking for experienced, highly qualified farmers who are capable of operating profitable farm businesses and are interested in helping to create a community of for-profit farmers at Lundale.

Currently Lundale hosts four farm businesses: a highly sophisticated micro-greens farm, an excellent grass-based cattle operation, a skilled custom farmer who is transitioning land to organic, and a conventional corn and bean farmer who will begin the transition to organic in 2014.

We are actively seeking a vegetable farmer for a 7 acre, organic parcel with a new well and irrigation system in place, a 3 bedroom farmhouse on site, barn, shed and facilities ideal for a CSA and farm stand.  This parcel is crop ready, and is adjacent to additional acreage for future expansion. More information and an application is available on our website,  You may also contact me at[masked]-8277. A business plan is an essential requirement for a successful applicant.

As a well-respected member of the sustainable farming community, your network of new farmers is our best source for young farmers with strong foundation skills who are in search of new opportunity.  Please share the Lundale story with graduates of your internships who are ready to start farms, or with seasoned farmers ready to expand or improve their business opportunities.  Encourage them to contact me directly for more information.

And please come visit Lundale.  I would be very proud to welcome you to the farm.
