Class - How to Develop a Food Forest Garden (Allentown)

Beginning Tuesday April 15, from 6:30-8:30PM, Stephen Hoog will present a 6 week course entitled How to Develop a Food Forest Garden  at the School of Nurses Building, 17th and Chew St. in Allentown. The cost of the class is $120. The purpose of this workshop is to show participants how to plan and grow a concentrated food production area on their property by understanding the dynamics of a forest and by selecting and placing plants so they will cooperate in attaining that goal. We will be looking at the soil and root systems and how they interact as well as discussing the various above ground levels to get the appropriate mix. Stephen Hoog is a Macrobiotic Counselor and Shiatsu practioner and lecturer working out of the TwinPonds Center in Breinigsville,Pa. and The YogaHouseStroudsburg in Stroudsburg. He has been doing Wild Food and Herb Walks since 1975 and has run or participated in numerous Permaculture Design Workshops.
