Someone left an orange jacket at IBM after the lightning talks. Please get in touch with me, [masked], and we'll figure out a way to get it back to you.

Hi Everyone, thanks for letting me share my thoughts on writing poetry with code. Great to meet you all and hear the other presenters. I learned a little more about Python :)
Here is a link to the presentation if anyone is interested. http://www.slideshare.net/ajcornelius/codepoems
I will be going to the PyOhio Bootcamp in July and will be working on programming some poetry this summer. Looking forward to being able to show my work next time :)

First time coming to IBM, what's the parking situation? Thanks!

    May 28, 2014

    • Bruce A.

On street parking is free (and often full) after 6pm. A couple blocks away on residential streets there is lots of parking in the evening. There are two garages nearby that cost something like $1/hour.

Is it okay if I'm a little early? I have all of my luggage in tow for PghDevOpsDays. :)

Yes. Early is no problem. I'm here already (since I work here). I'll get the doors open soon, or ring the doorbell and ask for me.

If you need an impromptu, last-minute speaker, I need the public speaking practice. I'm tracking a Python workshop next week, and speaking at PyOhio.

Hey Everyone! So far we have six speakers who are confirmed for this meetup (and a couple more who expressed interest but haven't sent me a topic yet). That means we still have a couple (2-4) slots to fill.

If you have any interest in giving a talk, even if you don't know exactly what you want to talk about yet, please send me an email! We can figure something out.

Remember, talks are only 5 minutes, so giving a talk is pretty low pressure. There's no need to be an expert, simply have a topic you're interested enough to talk about.

For some reason I thought this was April, not May. Sorry I cannot make it on May 28, but still would like to mention that there have been Python talks at Ohio Linuxfest. There are about 13 people that attend from Pittsburgh. http://www.ohiolinux.org
