If I had to pick I'd say _The Book of Laughter and Forgetting_ by Milan Kundera. But each book has it's own to offer and I don't really have a favorite.
I prefer to listen to books rather than read them, e.g. Audible.com, people usually look down on this. Also, I like Tony Hillerman and Nevada Barr.
I'm new in town. I'm not an avid or fast or easy reader, so I only read good books, and when I read them I think about them. This groups has a great book selection, so I'd like to join. My background: I've worked for several years as an academic s
