Do you have a few hours to spare on Saturday, May 18th, 2013? By helping out, you will support one of Philadelphia's up and coming neighborhoods.
Are you really good at pitching tents, setting up tables, hauling gear, and tearing tickets? Or breaking it all down at the end of the day? Volunteers will be helping with outdoor decor, festival management and packing up.
There will be three shifts - a morning shift, mid-day shift and an evening shift. You can sign up for one shift.
The Trenton Avenue Arts Festival, a free public event, celebrates East Kensington's incredible mix of local artists, musicians and eateries. Organized by the dedicated volunteers of the East Kensington Neighbors Association ("EKNA") and featuring over 200 local arts and food vendors, TAAF attracts 10,000 attendees to raise funds for neighborhood projects and revitalization.
The festival is held on Trenton Avenue, a wide cobblestone street that has been part of Kensington's rich creative history for over a hundred years. By hosting the Trenton Avenue Arts Festival, EKNA continues that tradition.
