What inspires you to volunteer?

I was brought up to believe that helping others is a vital part of life. If we all help each other, the world becomes a better place for us all!

Do you have prior experience volunteering? If so, doing what?

I have volunteered for various pro-choice organizations, political groups/candidates, animal rescues, and schools. I was on the board of one pro-choice organization for several years. I ran my college and law school's Democrat organizations. I am a registered foster parent at PAWS and do other things there. I ran my own rescue for several years at the feral cat colony down at Pier 70. I worked on Ed Rendell's gubernatorial campaign.

How many times a week do you anticipate being able to volunteer?

At least once, but up to three. I'd like to volunteer as often as possible.

What are the most convenient times for you to volunteer? (weekday before 5PM, weekday after 5PM, weekends)

Weekends are always best, but I can swing evenings if I have enough notice.

Do you have any specific cause that you would prefer to volunteer for?

Anything to do with children, animals, women's rights, education, criminal justice, workers' rights, the environment...almost anything!

Introduction

I am a former public defender, now a labor lawyer, but I'm looking forward to eventually leaving the law and going back to get a degree in psychology...to help people!
