Introduction
hey! i joined this group because i just moved back into the philly area and i want to get back into volunteering in the area. it's definitely something i miss in my life.
What inspires you to volunteer?
The idea of the ripple effect. It starts small with just a few people trying their damnedest to do better and slowly but surely more people jump onto the "doing good for others" bandwagon. And as far as bandwagons go, volunteering is better.
Do you have prior experience volunteering? If so, doing what?
I've volunteered with catholic charities, local retirement communities, library reading programs, silent witness, and a couple of other organizations.
How many times a week do you anticipate being able to volunteer?
between 1-2 times a week right now. possibly more in the future.
What are the most convenient times for you to volunteer? (weekday before 5PM, weekday after 5PM, weekends)
weekday after 5 PM and weekends
Do you have any specific cause that you would prefer to volunteer for?
Mankind.
