An Intro to Sass, Barley for WordPress and more

Winter in Philadelphia has been cold and difficult. It's a good thing that our meetup presentations have been so hot this year! The plans for our March lineup are still being finalized, but in the mean time those new to our group can check out what we're all about.

As we agreed as a group at our January meeting, we've invited the good people from Barley to give us a demonstration of their inline editing software. They are online at http://getbarley.com. Barley are sponsoring our March Meetup so there are no fees! Cheers to Barley for that!

As it proved a popular topic at the Philadelphia WordPress Meetup, Liam will deliver his Intro to Sass presentation to our suburban group. Come on out and learn about this exciting and powerful way to dress up your WordPress websites!

Great intro to Sass and I picked up a few Barley licenses, as well. It really integrates well with WP and thanks for the introduction and paying for our attendance/snacks.

Eileen - couple of questions??? Just need to breakdown what needs to happen. GAE = Google Apps for Education.
1 - Are you using the Google Apps for all of your sites on WP Multisite (network wide).
2 - Are you using GAE Calendar app ?(if so need a plugin that will give you ability to embed GAE Calendar)
3 - You are probably using the GAE Drive (Docs, Spreadsheets and Slides)? If so - plugin will need to have the ability to embed a Google Drive into your sites. Let me know - can probably put something together.
    Thanks - Tom

Tom...yes GAE on all the 15 sites, and they each own their own domain. Need to set it up individually for each one so they will have unique email addresses. Not using Google Calendar, and eventually will be using Google Drive but not sure that it needs to be on the site...what would be the benefit of integration?

I think it's the whole "compiling" thing that has non-dev's and semi-dev's anxious about LESS and SASS. Looks like one of those things that once you overcome the fear, it saves time and effort.

Great Meetup, cheers to Liam for overcoming obstacles to make it happen and delivering a SASSY performance. Loved Barley and Pushup looks pretty serious too.

I'm buying anyone a drink (or two) who can answer the question, "How do you set up Google Apps for Education on a WP multisite?"
