Here's a link to the slides from my presentation about how to be a developer that designers love.

So sorry that I could not attend last evening's meeting. I think that I may have broken a small bone in my toe or at least I injured it. The pain was too intense to drive - I hope to attend next time.

Sorry to hear that! Not good. Hope it heals quickly. I look forward to meeting you at our August meetup.

A very good meetup! Yes some of it was a bit over my head but I learned a lot. I wish I could have stuck around to chat. Thanks to Liam and all who presented.

Over my head…but below the tree line

Another good event. Enjoyed getting to know other WP'ers and hear their thoughts on WordCamp Philly. Some parts of the discussion were over my head, but gave me nuggets of info to research and learn more about.

Matt - Glad to hear that you enjoyed yourself and found some value in the conversation. That some of it went over your head is probably a good thing as it means that there is more to learn from engaging with the group.

To the kind soul who covered my bar tab last night, thank you. Your anonymous kindness was deeply appreciated.

should we eat dinner before we get here or can we order and eat dinner during this meetup? Thanks

    July 13, 2014

    • Owen W.

You can do either, but I always try to eat something at the meeting since many of the venues offer the meeting space for free on the idea that some attendees will eat or drink while present. If you order food, you won't be alone. It's also worth mentioning that at least part of the registration fee goes towards shared appetizers, too.

Is this a group mainly for web developers or for writers looking for blogging opportunities?

    July 5, 2014

    • Liam D.

Hi Matt - it's neither just for developers nor just for writers. As it says in the "About us ..." section: The Philly 'burbs WordPress Meetup bridges the gap between designers and developers building WordPress sites and writers, bloggers and marketers who use them on a daily basis. We focus on both design and development considerations (tips, techniques and hacks) as well as user concerns like expanded functionality and best practices. The conversation is all about WordPress.

We aim to create an atmosphere of sharing and collaboration, where each side of the conversation can contribute to insightful and engaging conversations.

Based in Chester and Montgomery Cos., PA, the group will hop from town to town to allow members to meet dynamic WordPress professionals throughout the region.

A longer post about our purpose and community is online at:

Hey is there a chance we can have stuff a little bit closer to Bucks/Montco sometimes?

Maybe KOP or Plymouth Meeting? I'd be happy to help organize.

I have been looking for a group that dealt with Word Press for some time now...Most excited about the meeting.

I'm not Liam, but it does rotate to the Sly Fox in Phoenixville and Michael's in KOP.
