Dance together on an island in the Schuylkill

Experience and learn improvisational and modern dance techniques in a workshop led by Alie Vidich, Director of INVISIBLE RIVER.

Learn fun across-the-floor phrases, turns, jumps, and a series of improvisational tools that will expand your creative vocabulary.  Together, we will create a new dance to be performed on an island in the middle of the Schuylkill during the performances of INVISIBLE RIVER this July!

No previous dance experience is necessary.  We want the community to experience the unmatched joy and excitement  of live performance.  Come create public art with us!

Classes run Tuesday nights March 25th - July 8th from 6:30 - 8:00pm (no class 4/15) at Christ Church Neighborhood House  (2nd & Market) in Old City (public transit EL at 2nd Street).

Performances on Saturday, July 12th and Sunday, July 13th in Fairmount Park.

$250.00 for the entire workshop includes your costume fee.  Installment plan available as are discounts for INVISIBLE RIVER members, students, seniors, and artists.

Register online by Tuesday, March 18th at

INVISIBLE RIVER - a public celebration of the Schuylkill this July in Fairmount Park!  The audience travels in boats stopping at different performance locations along the way.  Aerialist swing from bridges, dancers glide on water, musicians produce sweet sonic rhythms, and larger than life animal sculptures appear beside you.  Click here to watch a video of last years performance

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
