Art After 5 - Philadelphia Museum of Art

The supreme queen of Philadelphia drag cabaret, Martha Graham Cracker brings her hilariously campy cultural commentary to the Museum’s Great Stair Hall. Martha, whose impressive vocal range is matched by her witty banter, will perform with her trusty and talented accompanist, Victor Fiorillo.

You must pay Museum Entrance fee - but can see other exhibits as well

There are snacks available - we will probably go to a restaurant in Fairmount area afterwards.

Fantastic night, Andy! I've been meaning to see Martha for years, so I owe it all to you for finally prompting me to go. The show was ab-fab, the group was very friendly, and I had a blast. Thanks so much!

Oh, and major props for fighting off the natives to save the whole area for all of us for hours. And for whipping up a seat for me from nowhere!!!

    Hitting traffic as well :/

Eh, I'll get there when I get there. I have a membership so am not worried. I hope I'll run into you guys!

I am at the Museum (4pm) there is FAR less seating being made available than the last event we attended. I am be able to 'hold' about 10 spots with a standing area behind me. First come first served I'm afraid.
I am just to the right of the steps in front of the performance (as you face the steps)

Andy, Just changed my rsvp. Work has been overwhelming this week and I just do not think I will be able to get downtown anytime near 5:00.

According to the website, there is another performance at 7:15 and the entire thing wraps up at 8:45.

I have a membership but most go home first. Would it be okay to arrive around 7:30?

    June 4, 2014

    • Andy M.

Suzanne the event is wrapping up by around that time (it really does start at 5). Your call on whether to attend.

I'll be out of town, but I would like to join you for the next performance at the PMA.

And parking fees in the museum garage are reduced to a reasonable cost.

    May 10, 2014

  • Andy M.

It costs the standard Museum admission of $20 per person to enter the Museum for Art After 5 events.
If you are not already a member - it is really worth it - you can become a member the 'day of' and come to the Museum (and/or Art After 5 Events) as many times as you like with no entrance fee.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
