As an Algerian my second language is a French , therefore I started to speak french at school in the second grade because it was in the educational program and as a kabyle (Berberian or native Algerian) we have an open mind for all languages which helped to have this easiness in communicating in this language. Furthermore, my high school and university education were mostly in French and I traveled a couple times to France where I had the chance to improve my French speaking with my relatives and in the US I also have some friends speaking french with whom I chat from time to time bringing various topics in our discussion. It is also interesting to know that the Unofficial and technical language of the administration in Algeria is French. Therefore, it is not only useful but mandatory to learn it. Beside, I have to confess that I am a fan of the French culture especially music and theater.
