Computer Enterprises Inc. is currently in search of 2 PHP developers for our client in Philadelphia, PA.  Please review the description to see if you qualify and if you're interested please respond with your Microsoft word resume to [address removed].  Both positions are 100% onsite.
 
Position (1)
 
Title:  PHP Developer (PHP, Kohana or Codeigniter)
Location:  Philadephia, PA 19104
Duration:  6 month Contract - Hire
- 5 years PHP development experience with at least 1 year using the Kohana and/or CodeIgniter web application framework.
- 3 years developing web based object oriented systems using an Oracle database back-end.

- Understands the benefits of good database schema design and data normalization.
- Well versed in all things HTTP; comfortable with web services (some SOAP, but not much), REST architecture, and the design of a good web API.

- Knowledge of Python or Ruby is a big plus.  Strong OOP, MVC background and Zend coding standards. Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, SMARTY templates, Subversion, SSH client, and familiar with Linux/BSD and basic shell scripting.

Position (2)
 
Title: Sr. Web Developer (PHP, jQuery, SQL)
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104
Duration: 6 month Contract - Hire


Summary of Accountabilities:


Responsible for academic and administrative web applications, related commercial applications or related processes supporting the Company's, research and/or administrative missions. Participate in planning, development of specifications, project plans, and other supporting documentation and processes; Aid in planning future infrastructure requirements.
Degree Requirements and Minimum Experience Required:


Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.


Minimum 5 years experience developing with Oracle (preferred), MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server, or other advanced RDMS, including database design
Minimum 5 years experience with multi-tiered web application development; experience with JavaScript and PHP or other scripting languages (Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.) preferred


Skills Inventory:


Ability to develop web applications using PHP or other scripting language(s) (Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.); client-side scripting with JavaScript (jQuery experience preferred) and HTML
Demonstrated knowledge of modern RDMS database design and advanced query techniques (eg, stored procedures, triggers, user defined scalar- and table-valued functions, etc.); Oracle experience preferred; MySQL or MS-SQL acceptable)
Detail oriented with the ability to work independently or as part of a team;
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Superior skills in providing project coding timeline estimates;


Highly Desirable:


- Knowledge of academic environments and processes, particularly in the areas of student records management, faculty recruitment and data management and research environments, and the related regulatory frameworks (FERPA, HIPAA, FISMA)
Experience with Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum


Experience with Cosign authentication
Experience with Internet2 community projects or open source projects
Experience with wiki usage
Machines, Tools, and Equipment:
Oracle, MySQL or MS-SQL database systems
PHP and other scripting languages (e.g., JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS), templating engines (e.g., Smarty),
