Hello Everyone,
Although MySQL has traditionally been the database of choice of many
PHP developers, PostgreSQL has made great strides in recent years
adding features targeted at web developers. I want to invite you to
the inaugural Philly PostgreSQL User Group meeting will be next
Wednesday at the Azavea offices. PostgreSQL 9.2 will likely be
released on Monday and we're going to be talking about all the cool
new features in 9.2. Bruce Momjian, one of the PostgreSQL core team
members, will
be leading the discussion. Some of the new features that will help PHP
developers are:
- 10x performance improvements
- JSON datatypes
- Range types
- Improved inbuilt replication

Come find out how PostgreSQL can handle the most demanding
applications and spread the word about the new group.
