When I do use the Mac I use Coda - http://www.panic.... It is reasonably
priced and works well.
If it's JUST editing files then try JEdit - http://jedit.org It's a
comprehensive multi-pane editor with all the bells and whistles you'd expect.
It requires Java which your Mac should already have. There are plugins for lots
of things like FTP and SFTP. I use it all the time on my Linux, Windows, and
Mac systems. Oh, and it's free!
