Belonging to a large number of photography meet up groups and they have been very valuable to networking, building execution skills, and taking pictures. Having grown up in a research and development workplace, I crave positive and constructive critiques. I love getting together with smart people, sharing ideas, and hearing alternative ideas. My own understanding and skills improve greatly when I'm in those environments.  However, I find many of the comments left on pictures make you feel good, but don't make you better.

Goals for Group:

  • Become an alternative to comments left on pictures to make you feel good, but don't make you better.
  • Become a group for those that crave positive and constructive critiques by getting together with smart people, sharing ideas, and hearing alternative ideas.
  • Create a safe place for constructive criticism of photographic works.
  • Be a platform for subjects to express of what they thought of the work involving them. Was the picture compelling, insightful, emotional, authentic, or helpful?
  • Be a platform for photographers to express their thought process, what they were trying to create, and what got created.
  • Overall, establish a group meant for those interested in exploring in an authentic and honest way, learning about themselves, and growing in their mastery of the art of photography.
