Apologies for the lull in meets relative to our usual pace. This has been due to two things: first, the time I can give to organizing discussions has been taken up recently by my efforts to bring few other groups I've started up to stride; second, with the holidays and events this time of year, the availability of Celtic Coffee on Sundays has been limited. I will aim to have a new meet scheduled in the next days for June 10th, with the topic being patriotism. What is patriotism? Is it a laudable, ethically sound, form of commitment, or a somewhat irrational vestige of our tribal past that should be replaced by supernational ethical commitments, or something else?
If you know of good readings on this topic, or would like to be involved in framing the discussion, be in touch.
