There was a large & eclectic group for this meetup - which is normally a very good sign. However, ultimately the discussion fell flat for me. It seemed as if 50% of the people were there to discuss the ideas presented in the film and 50% were activists attending primarily to organize a grassroots movement to address the problem identified in the film. That's totally fine for those people, but activism and "deep and meaningful" discussion are two different things.

We will have a common place to have all our information. Right now we do have a Facebook page we call Thrive Vermont. Thank you.

Thank you Jon for hosting the discussion. It was a wonderful way to start discussing "all" these issues that were included in the film Thrive. Over 20 people came.

We had many more people than usual, although most of them were unaware of the existence of our group! It continues to amaze me how two people, given the same factual evidence, come up with such divergent explanations of what is really going on. Met a lot of new, cool, people.

If you want an anti-Thrive opinion, this seems as good as any: http://thrivedebunked.wordpress.com/

Fear? How about outrage and, yes, hope. All our safe assumptions about how the world actually works have gotten us to this state that we're in. Change requires courage and a willingness to re-examine assumptions honestly, but also a fair amount of courage.

    Questions After Seeing the Movie:

? What was the most interesting part of the film for you?
? What do you want to know more about?
? What do you see in the film you also see happening in the world?
? What beliefs and assumptions did the film confirm?
? Do you see any changes we as Vermonters can do now?
? Would you like to join a group to discuss issues and support solutions?

I'm confused. The website appears to be the product of someone who has a lot of resources with which to share all the "facts" that he
has "learned" from "experts," including "research" to convince him of the existence of UFO's (in The Code section). Maybe I have been looking at the wrong website.

"THRIVE: What On Earth Will It Take?" is an unconventional documentary that lifts the veil on what's REALLY going on in our world by following the money upstream ? uncovering the global consolidation of power in nearly every aspect of our lives. Weaving together breakthroughs in science, consciousness and activism, the THRIVE film offers possible solutions, empowering us with unprecedented and bold strategies for reclaiming our lives and our future. www.ThriveMovement.com [masked]

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
