Great meeting Monday! I happened upon an American Philosophical Association newsletter with an article, "Truth and Inconsistent Concepts," where John Barker discusses the "liar paradox" and references the challenges of Kripke.

I would like to provide insight, but haven't completed the article (day job), and also want to share this ASAP following our meeting. http://c.ymcdn.com/sites/www.apaonline.org/resource/collection/EADE8D52-8D02-4136-9A2A-729368501E43/ComputersV13n1.pdf

Great night out, I now have to add Kripke to my list of works to read...add my gratitude to the list :-)))))

Yes, thanks so much, Kathryn, for the excellent lecture and the brilliant insights. I left with a greater understanding of how we humans think and understand.

Phillip's right, Kathryn. It IS a tough crowd, and you fielded it all wonderfully. Start working on your Heidegger lecture!

Thank you, Kathryn. Good job. Tough crowd. You weathered our multiple digressions and attention deficiencies well.

Whether weather or whimsy, I will weather the worst,
wishing for wisdom.

I hear that we may have some weather this evening. If this is going to keep you from attending the meeting tonight, please let me know ASAP. Kathryn has gone to some effort to put together a presentation for us, and I'd like for it to be well attended. In fact, I'd like for all of you, if you would please, to reply to this message with your confirmation or your cancellation. May Kripke be with you. --OR, if you prefer-- Kripke long and prosper!

I, perhaps, wasn't crystal clear, in my post of 10 minutes ago, that the meeting is DEFINITELY ON for tonight. La Madeleine will not flood. Nor will MOPAC. See ya then!

Kripke is a tough topic for those not versed in formal logic, sentential calculus, predicate calculus, etc.. Looking forward to some english. :)

I'm very happy about this: Kathryn Noack has agreed to give a talk on Saul Kripke at this Monday's meeting! You will want to be there!

I've just posted some links for Kripke, located under Discussions/Message Board / Monday Night Contemporary Philosophy / Saul Kripke. Check 'em out. See you Monday!
