APDG's Breakfast Club - Final Session of the "Questions of Value" Course

From: Dave K.
Sent on: Wednesday, December 10, 2008 1:57 PM
Questions of Value Course - Moral Change & Course Summary

This Saturday we will watch DVD lectures twenty-three and twenty-four of the Questions of Value course. The lectures are free and ample time is allotted after each thirty minute lecture for discussion. Everyone will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their views.

In lecture twenty-three, Professor Grim asks: Is moral change possible given the conflicts that exist between moral worldviews? And in the final lecture, he takes on the daunting task of summarizing the course and sharing conclusions that emerge from considering the lectures as a whole.

We meet from 10:15 AM until around 1:00 PM at: La Madeleine French Bakery & Cafe, 3418 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78705 [masked]). No prior preparation or even past participation is necessary. Viewing the DVD lectures and your life experience are sufficient to fully participate in post-lecture discussions. This is especially true for this session as we will have Professor Grim's course summary to work with.

Our goal is to provide a relaxed easy-going environment for people to engage in uninhibited discussions. We often start after 10:15 AM to accommodate late arrivals and continue beyond 1:00 PM to give everyone a chance to participate. If this laid-back approach to learning sounds good to you, please join us for breakfast and share your views. Our friendly group will help you fit right in.
