The Austin Philosophy Discussion Group (APDG) offers many opportunities for discussions of philosophy and philosophical issues. No advance preparation or knowledge is required, just an open mind (except for the book group). All our meetings are free of charge, but we occasionally pass the hat to collect money for operating expenses.  Look at the Money tab on Group Tools for an accounting.

- Weekly Lecture/Discussion groups, which offer free DVD lectures and discussions covering a wide range of philosophical topics. No fee or advance reading needed.

- Special Events and Lectures covering topics of interest to our membership.

Also, our web site often features lively conversations, within a culture that values civil discourse.
