In this group we'll read and discuss works from the Social Sciences, Humanities and Philosophy, in a spirit of inquiry.
Activities include general discussions, talks, debates, and exploration of specific topics.
Subjects range from Ethics and the Theory of Knowledge in Philosophy, to works in Sociology, Psychology, Economics, and other subjects in the Social Sciences.
The aim is to discuss different works and ideas so as to have a better understanding of ourselves, our surroundings, other people, its history and context, and what we want to know.
The goal is to have broad discussions that enrich our minds, to hold in-depth explorations of a theme, and to discuss our ideas and thoughts with a community of people. (See the group's goals here)
All that is needed is an inquisitive and reasonable mind, and an openness and desire to develop one's capacity to think.
Sources of material that we will discuss will include articles, books, anthologies, journals, newspapers, websites, novels, and sometimes, videos and films to supplement them.
Do join in if you're keen to know more!
