In this group we'll read works from the Social Sciences and Philosophy and discuss them in a spirit of inquiry.
Activities and topics include open and general discussions, talks, exploration of specific topics that range from Ethics and the Theory of Knowledge in Philosophy to works in Sociology, Psychology, History and Economics in the Social Sciences.
The aim is to discuss different works and ideas so as to have a better understanding of ourselves, our surroundings, other people, and what we want to know. The goal is to have broad discussions that enrich our minds, or an in-depth exploration of a theme, so as to think and discuss with a community of people. (See the group's goals here)
All that is needed is an inquisitive and reasonable mind, and an openness and desire to develop one's capacity to think. The works that we will discuss will come come from articles, books, anthologies, journals, newspapers, websites, novels, and include videos and films.
Do join in if you're keen to know more and start exploring!
