Aristotelian Grace - a talk by Dr. Charles Young

Our Philosophy Meetup here in the Laguna Woods neighborhood of Orange County invites you to hear Charles Young give a talk from his recent paper on "Aristotelian Grace".  Here in the Village Green Clubhouse we have reserved a room with a view of the green where you can enjoy his discussion of his paper, "Aristotelian Grace" and participate in the ensuing informal audience exchange.  He will discuss his paper and Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics for about 30 to 40 minutes and then lead the question and answer period.

As professor of Logic and Greek at Claremont, Dr. Young is known as an expert in ancient Greek philosophers.

Before the meeting you might want to take the opportunity to read his not-so-long paper. The link to the pdf file of "Aristotelian Grace" is attached.

The reading for this meeting can be downloaded here.

I'll second Dale's comments below. very thought provoking topic and the presentation was great and clear, followed by a very interactive conversation. Thanks Katherine, this first event was a huge success!

I was so excited to attend my first meeting with this group but I am unable to make it today. I'm hoping I can make the next one.

It's a glitch on the meetup page. Try rebooting - it will work eventually.

I was reading the "History of Chinese Philosophy" by Feng You Lan, and found it interesting and provoking. So I think maybe I can join this group and explore...
