Let's Make Media!: Collaborations between Nonprofits and Community Media Outlets

Come join local community media experts to discuss how nonprofits can make and distribute their own videos, audio, and photography. Specifically, presenters will demonstrate how this media can be used with social networking technology to further organizational goals. Participants will have a chance to see examples of media created by nonprofits and other community groups and have the opportunity to ask the experts questions about creating community media content for their own causes. Presenters will also showcase a list of community media resources available to non-profits in the area, and will include:

Persons who can really benefit from this meetup are those who would like to add media content to their websites, blogs, and/or social media programs, and anybody who wants to better understand these evolving technologies. Not in Philly? Or can’t make it downtown? Watch the live Internet stream at http://phillynetsquar..., and contribute your questions and comments via our Twitter backchannel (hashtag: #phlnet2).

I was really inspired. I plan on applying for the crowd sourcing meetup --- my organization is in major need.

I thought that the topic was a good one although I felt that the panelist needed more time to present. I also felt that the length of time was too long. My mind started to wander after an hour. I did feel that all 3 panelist were knowledgeable and that I learned a lot.
