Heads up of "tag tag" for tonight's Net Tuesday

If you’ve attended a Philly Net Tuesday in the past, you know that we don’t use regular name tags. Our practice is to wear “tag tags”, which encourage attendees to (optionally) “tag ourselves” with an additional piece of information – in order to share something about who we are, and to invite conversations with others.

At tonight’s Net Tuesday in the Friends Center, the tag tag prompt will be, “I’m a member of many "communities", one of which is …”. We’re letting you know the tag tag prompt now, just in case you want to think about it ahead of time. (You don’t have to!) You may or may not want to share your “primary” community. It may be vocational or avocational, geographic, interest-based, religious, experiential, political – whatever you feel like sharing at the moment. There’s no “right answer”, and serendipity is welcome.

We’re expecting a large crowd to discuss an interesting and important topic with our top-notch panel tonight: Nonprofits Collaborating with Community Media Outlets. We ALSO have the opportunity to network with a unique and diverse collection of attendees – and sharing a piece of who we are is a key component of effective networking. So, come tonight to learn, to share some of your own perspective and identity, and to continue to weave our networks of connection.
