Net Tuesday, April 5: Crowdsourcing Change (still time to apply)

On April 5, 2011, Philly Net Tuesday will present "Crowdsourcing Change," a popular recurring program to be held at the Friends Center, 1501 Cherry Street, beginning at 6:00 PM.

This is a highly participatory event where "Social Changers" who are currently using -- or want to start using -- the social web for the common good can glean the wisdom of our crowd, which will share insights about how to use social media to your best advantage.

Here’s how it works: Two or or three social changers get to explain their goals and current social web strategies to our crowd. Then we open the floor to attendees -- including anyone watching our live streaming video and Twitter stream -- who provide feedback, helpful advice and knowledge to help our presenters move their social dimension forward.

It's a wonderful learning and sharing opportunity for everyone who attends, and has proven highly beneficial to prior presenters. Now we want to help even more initiatives reach their social media goals.

Do you work for an organization, project or initiative that wants to make better use of social media for ...

  • Advocacy
  • Fundraising
  • Engaging constituents
  • Creating community
  • Raising awareness

... all while trying to integrate social web efforts into existing day-to-day operations? Then why not throw your hat in the ring?

If you're intested in.  The deadline for applications is March 22, 2011.

RSVP's are appreciated for planning purposes, but not required.  We'd rather have you show up and "join the crowd".

Thanks to the American Friends Service Committee for sponsorship.
