Net Tuesday Philly Meetup Message Board › Philly Net Tuesday, September 6: Reminder and BIG door prize announcement
Upper Darby, PA
Next Tuesday, September 6, gathering at 6:00 PM at the Friends Center, 1501 Cherry Street , Philly Net Tuesday will host its popular Crowdsourcing Change event. This format is where you (the crowd) hear presentations from two brand new local nonprofit initiatives, and then participate in a discussion focused on how each of them can make effective use of social media and social networking tools to further their objectives. It's a learning and sharing opportunity for everybody.
The two selected initiatives are the Patch Adams Free Clinic, a planned community-based health care facility based on the work and spirit of Dr. Patch Adams, and Generocity, Greater Philadelphia's new "source for local nonprofit news, giving and networking". Check out their websites, and visit the event's Meetup pages to learn more, including what they hope to get out of the evening. (RSVP's are optional, but appreciated for planning purposes.)
And here's the big news… Everybody who attends will have a chance to win a free pass to the SocialMediaPlus web 2.0 business summit on November 15-16 at the Convention Center – a $495 value! (Note also that any of you who don't win the free pass can get a 15% discount anyway, because Philly NetSquared is a partner organization of SocialMediaPlus. )
Can't attend in person? You can still watch Net Tuesday live at phillynetsquared.org/live , and participate via a Twitter backchannel with the hashtag #phlnet2. (Sorry, but remote participants are not eligible for the door prize.)
Thanks to our event sponsors, the American Friends Service Committee and Chevy Volt, and to SocialMediaPlus for the great door prize.
Hope you can "join the crowd" on Tuesday!
