Net Tuesday Philly Meetup Message Board › July 1 Net Tuesday meeting (with real information)
Upper Darby, PA
The email sent yesterday about the July 1 Net Tuesday Philly Meetup was generated automatically by Meetup before I had a chance to update the meeting description with specific information. So, this email is a lot more specific. Sorry for the multiple emails (I'm trying to avoid sending out too many).
The next Net Tuesday Philly will be at 6:30 PM on July 1, again at Independents Hall, the co-working space at 32 Strawberry Street in Olde City.
In addition to the usual great networking opportunities, the main event of this meeting will be a new format we're trying, tentatively entitled "Extreme Makeover: Web Strategy Edition"
This process, which will probably take about 40 minutes, will focus on one person's challenge with using the web (especially web 2.0) for their project. The process will involve the entire group, and hopefully, everyone will get something out of it. (This idea was inspired by Net Tuesday DC's successful experience using a similar format every other meeting. Attendees at our June 3 meeting wanted to try it out, so we're experimenting with it this time.)
Our first Makeover will be for RuthAnn Purchase and her "Wiki-Theater" project. Come, find out about this project, and help to shape it. RuthAnn is anxious to gain a variety of perspectives.
Thanks to our sponsor: The sponsor for our July meeting is Rock River Star Internet Development and Consulting.
(Also, we will enjoy a generous donation of drinks from Live Energy Drink. a socially responsible company that donates 50% of its profits to charity. They're providing drinks to our Net Tuesday meeting FOR FREE, so check 'em out.)
You can RSVP via the Meetup Group, or just show up. It should be a fun and informative evening. Looking forward to seeing you there.
(One more thing, if you're interested, I've posted a file on the Meetup page, with notes from the first monthly conference call of more than a dozen Net Tuesday organizers from around the country and abroad. Whether you know it or not, you're part of a broader movement. Things are happening.)
