Jim-

Not sure if there would be any interest, but I would be willing to present about a small, but interesting query I worked on recently which selects a row at random from a table.

Hey Jimbo,

I would pitch in with a 5 minute talk, but I am out in California again that week.

Hello All,
With the holidays fast approaching, its difficult to find a speaker with enough time to prepare for a full hour long talk so this month I'd like to do a series of lightning talks. For those of you who don't know, a lightning talk is a short 5 minute long talk with or without slides. Possible topics may be:
- How you are using PostgreSQL
- What feature you like most about PostgreSQL
- What feature is PostgreSQL missing
- Why PostgreSQL is better than ...
- Why ... is better than PostgreSQL
- Why Philly is an awesome tech town
- Who has the best cheese steaks

I'm thinking holding the next meeting one evening the week of Dec 16 so if you can talk to the group for a few minutes that week, let me know. We'll need at least 5 speakers that evening to make this work. If we can't get enough volunteers, we'll just do a drink-up that week instead. Let me know if you up for it.
Thanks,
  Jim
