Look for the new RED MEETUP signs or ask the guitar player (That's me!) where the other atheists are.
Whole Foods has invited me back to sing for their Wednesday Wine Night 7:00 o'clock sharp. Special wines will be featured and $5.00 gets you a glass and a cheese, cracker, and meat plate. Beer drinkers will like the zillion varieties of fine craft beer on tap. The bartender has a heavy pour and you'll appreciate that when he makes one of those expensive top shelf wines taste positively affordable.
All KINDS of food.
Music goes from 7:00 to 9:00. I will be doing 20s, 30s, and 40s jazz standards and pre-1950 MOR (Middle of the Road) tunes using a very small but mighty Grand Symphony Mini Taylor guitar (Just $499). Also, swing tunes with a western theme and 40s and 50s western and cowboy love songs swung to a hot club beat.
Main composers: Cindy Walker, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Woody Paul, Fats Waller, Tom Cole.
In order that people can continue to be thrilled at home by this music, I will also be offering the public a five-dollar CD with 17 songs on it. It is called "Sixteen First Takes." Yes, I can count. The last track, a four-square harmony version of Bob Nolan's "Cool Water" is NOT a first take; I recorded it on Garage Band on my Macintosh.
Last call for alcohol is around 9:30 and they boot us all out at 10:00. Come early if you like. I will be there at about 5:30 to set up.
