West-Side Potluck In The Park...Everyone is Welcome!

Especially for the west-siders (although not limited to just them), a potluck picnic at the lovely Rio Vista Park in Peoria! This could be a great meetup for East and West to get together! We have the site reserved on Sunday April 27 from 1:30pm to 8:30pm but come (or leave) at any time during that time frame, when and if you can.

Look for us at Ramada #13 and bring a favored dish to share, something to grill if you care to and your personal beverage(s) of choice (including beer). Kids are welcome; the park offers plenty of distractions for everyone of all ages.

Core essentials will be available/provided, such as a grill, ice, condiments, utensils/serving ware, tables and chairs. You may want to bring additional chairs, tables and blankets which best serve your personal needs however. Feel free also to bring games and other forms of entertainment if you like!

Rio Vista Community Park is located at 8866-A W. Thunderbird Rd. The park entrance is about a third of a mile west of the Loop 101 on Thunderbird.

Link to Rio Vista Park here.  If you have any questions or comments, please post them here.

Note: We won't be passing around the offering plate but if you would care to make a small donation at the event to help defray costs, that would be greatly appreciated. Any excess funds will be used to facilitate future events and/or for the ongoing support of PAMG.

Hey David. My son woke up from his nap today with a slight fever. Sorry we won't be all to make it today. Really looking forward to getting to a gathering soon!

Forgot to mention we have a beer permit, so if you care to, feel free to bring some.

FYI, after entering the park, Ramada #13 is the first ramada past the recreation center. The best parking option is accessed by driving -past- the ramada (which will be on your left), and then entering the first turn off to the parking lot, on your right. In other words, there is parking access somewhat across from the recreation center and just -before- you get to the ramada, but it's a bit more circuitous route to get to parking spots directly across from the ramada.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
