This week let's journey on the Old Jeep Trail in the McDowells. This trek offers us access to some more remote sections of the preserve. We'll enjoy the beautiful scenery as we loop around this desert trail. We'll stop along the way and take a longer break at about the midpoint before heading back. You're encouraged to bring snacks, cameras, sun protection and must bring at least 2+ liters of water per person and sturdy hiking footwear.

DIRECTIONS: From Via Linda and 124th St in Scottsdale, head north on 124th until the road ends at a small circle. Enter the preserve by continuing north into the dirt parking lot.
