Feed My Starving Children (FMSC)

Please join the Phoenix Philanthropists for its volunteer effort to benefit Feed My Starving Children.  We will be helping create "Manna Pack" meals which will be distributed to those in need. We'll have fun and know that we're making a difference in children's lives around the world.

LOCATION: 7965 S. Priest Drive, Suite #106 (across the street from Dos Gringos)

TIME: 6 - 7:30 pm.  This event will be scheduled twice a month, usually every other Thursday (but sometimes on a Wednesday).

GUESTS: If you are bringing a guest, please add a comment and include their name(s).  This way, we can make a nametag for them.

AGE GUIDELINES:

  • The minimum age to volunteer at FMSC is 5 years old.
  • Please follow the student-to-adult ratios when registering to volunteer.

Grade 10-12: 5 students to 1 adult
Grade 7-9:     4 students to 1 adult
Grade 3-6:     3 students to 1 adult
Grade K-2:     1 student to 1 adult

DRESS: Please wear closed toe shoes.  Also, FMSC requires that all jewelry and other accessories be removed.

ATTENDANCE: When you arrive, please sign in at the computers by the entrance doors.  Also, make sure to get a nametag from David, Lori, or Chris.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update your RSVP as soon as you can if you are unable to make the event.  This allows other volunteers the opportunity to participate and most importantly allows us to keep our commitments to best assist FMSC.  Please see PP's Attendance Policy below.

Phoenix Philanthropists Attendance Policy: We understand that plans change and emergencies come up. If you RSVP YES but can no longer attend, PLEASE change your RSVP ASAP. Our charity partners rely on us to attend when we say we will and our attendance policy is intended to ensure we can meet our charity partners' expectations. Please give as much prior notice as possible, but at a minimum of 2 hours notice for this event before canceling. No Call/No Shows will be recorded, and after 3 No Call No Shows/month or 6 No Call No Shows/year, you will be removed from the Phoenix Philanthropists MeetUp. Please understand this policy is not intended to penalize our philanthropists, but to ensure we maintain good relationships with our charity partners and can give the most back to our community.

About FMSC:

Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and FMSC ships the meals to nearly 70 countries around the world.

Thx guys for taking the time to come out! Our efforts helped create 11,000+ meals...how awesome is that!! Don't forget to check out all the smiles from last nite's pics :)
Sorry there was some confusion regarding our Thursday night events vs. the FMSC fundraiser. Just to clarify, the FMSC fundraiser is a special event on April 12/13 only. This is separate from our Thurs 6p meetup events. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Just wanted to point out that this event, and all future FMSC events, starts at 6pm. For some reason, the start time is showing up on my cell phone app as being an hour later.
