Because HALO is sharing the county facility, volunteers must attend or have attended a HALO volunteer orientation at the old shelter or at the new location before you can volunteer. The orientation application and schedule can be found here:

Hi Everyone! This will be our regular Sunday volunteer effort at Halo Animal Rescue. HALO is now housed inside the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control building. Though housed together, they are two separate organizations.
Grady, one of our volunteers is now a Lead Volunteer with Halo and will also be there to assist you as our Halo Lead.
We will help fill water bowls, fold laundry and spend time with the animals to give them some love and affection. We need cat volunteers. If you are interested, please let me know when you arrive. The minimum age limit is 18. Closed toe shoes are required. If you have kids who want to volunteer, HALO has a special Kitty cuddler program at PetSmart locations throughout the valley. This is a great facility and staff! For those that worked with the other animal rescue, it is a night and day difference. They even have Vet Techs on staff to take care of the animals. You will be very impressed. We will be volunteering every Sunday from 11am-2pm as a group or you can feel free to volunteer anytime to help out this great cause once you go through the orientation.
Thank you for all you do.
