We have the opportunity to volunteer regularly for Lost Our Home Pet Foundation in North Phoenix.
All volunteers are required to submit an application and attend an orientation. Applications can be found at http://www.lostourhome.org/info/display?PageID=8453, and once completed, volunteers will be emailed information about orientations.
At orientation, we will provide an overview of all available positions including animal care, shelter maintenance, and clerical responsibilities. These will be the opportunities available to the Philanthropist group which will be attending regularly from 3:30 until 5:30 on Saturdays.
Dogs typically arrive back at the shelter from adoption events in the area around 3:30 on Saturdays and will be needing time to stretch there legs, bathroom breaks, food and water. Volunteers can also perform pet care duties on the cat side including litter box cleaning, food/water replenishing, and general cat room cleaning. After cleaning duties have been completed, we invite you to stick around for petting and purring.
Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian who has also filled out an application and attended orientation. Closed toed shoes required. All volunteers are welcome to submit a raffle ticket after every volunteer shift for the monthly volunteer appreciation prize.
