UMOM Watkins Overflow Shelter - Kid Connection

Hi Everyone!

WELCOME TO KID CONNECTION! This is our regular Friday evening at the UMOM Watkins Overflow Shelter. We will spend quality time with the children at the Watkins Overflow Homeless Shelter.

Activities include:

Arts & crafts

Board games


fun activities for all ages of kids!

Feel free to bring an arts and crafts project that can work for up to 15 kids.

Please keep in mind that UMOM is a faith-based organization. Minimum age for this will be 12 with parent or guardian accompanying you. PLEASE READ:


CHECK AT 4:00P.M. Friday, to see if this meet-up has  been canceled,

1) Do not bring anything of value into the shelter.2) Entrances are to first knock on the double doors or go to the west side and enter. Tell a worker that you are there to volunteer with the family side 3) Always stay with children where you and the child can be seen. Do not take children to the bathroom but get their parents instead. 4) WE ALWAYS NEED DONATIONS for the shelter and our program for this is run on donations only.NEEDs are play doh,  CONNECT FOUR GAMES,Twister,games,  basketballs, footballs, arts and crafts projects, toddler toys, race car sets, bikes and play tents.  This meet-up is run without funding so all donations are appreciated. We also need unused gifts or Dollar Store items to use as prizes for the Women's Friday night Bingo Game implemented by Anita so be a regifter.  :) 

FOR THE SHELTER All clothes, towels, sheets, blankets, shoes, toiletries. Washed fruit,Ramon Noodles and fruit juice packs are nice to bring also. If anyone knows of  a place that can supply fruit regularly, please contact me.

    I will be there so I need help if anyone is available. My right hand people as to Anita, Roger, Doug and Tracy may not make it so much help is needed.
