St. Mary's Food Bank

This is our regular second Saturday event to support one of our strongest partners, St. Mary's Food Bank. If there is one event that you want to attend, especially if you are a new member, this would be the one.  We will have other Meetup Groups joining us, as usual, for a fun time supporting the country's first and largest food bank!

Please wear closed toe shoes and sleeveless shirts are not allowed!! Dress in layers during the winter as it will be cooler in the warehouse and dress cooler in the summer, but remember not to wear a sleeveless shirt. Some people like to wear gloves and some find them a little cumbersome to work with. Feel free to bring a pair along.

We will be working the assembly line packing boxes or bagging potatoes, apples, oranges or whatever they need us to do. The minimum age limit is 12 years old. I encourage those with teenagers to bring them as guests. It is a great event to expose your kids to volunteering and seeing how important it is to help those that are in need.

You are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations with you to this event. For more info on St. Mary's click HERE

If you are attending and have not filled out a release form for St. Mary's Food Bank before, please go HERE to print out the form to bring with you. They also have release forms without the application portion available when you arrive.

Thanks for all you do!

We arrived at 12pm, and didn't get started with activities until 1pm. They need to be faster about it! I love the food bank, but they need to be more efficient in how they manage their volunteers. We want to get started right away! Thank you!

Had a wonderful time bagging potatoes with everyone. We worked hard and laughed a lot too. Met some very nice people.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
