Volunteer at HALO Animal Rescue

Hi Everyone! This will be our regular Sunday volunteer effort at Halo Rescue Shelter.

Grady, one of our volunteers is now a Core Volunteer with Halo and will also be there to assist you as our Halo Lead.

Our contact at HALO is Vanessa Krupa ([masked]).

We will help clean kennels, fill water/food bowls, fold laundry and spend time with the dogs and cats to give them some love and affection. We need cat volunteers. If you are interested, please let me know when you arrive. The minimum age limit is 18. Closed toe shoes are required. If you have kids who want to volunteer, they have a special Kitty cuddler program at PetSmarts throughout the valley. This is a great facility and staff! For those that worked with the other animal rescue, it is a night and day difference. They even have Vet Techs on staff to take care of the animals. You will be very impressed. We will be volunteering every Sunday from 8:30-11am as a group or you can feel free to volunteer anytime to help out this great cause once you go through the orientation.

If you decide to become a full time volunteer, the volunteer application and orientation schedule can be found here: https://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/ap?AP=1018934635

Thank you for all you do.

We've got 6 philanthropists coming to the shelter tomorrow. This is great. We've got many tasks to choose from. All will free up a staff member to give the animals the extra attention the need and deserve.

Everyone wants to help with the dogs. We also need: Volunteers to help with the cats. The cat staff can always use a helping hand.
Laundry folders. When you see our laundrt room, you will understand.
Food and water bowl washers. We change the food and water bowl/buckets every day.
Yard help. Go out in the play yards with the dogs and throw a ball or just play with the group.

Hello! I've been told by a few people that we have to be trained in order to volunteer at a pet shelter. Is this true? Also, I would like to bring a friend. Is this okay?
    Thanks,
    Linda
