Serve the Homeless at the Andre House

Hi Everyone!

This is going to our regular 2nd Saturday of the month at the Andre House. Plan on being there until approximately 7 or 7:15 pm.

Please, no last minute cancelations on this one! If you are going to cancel, please do so at least 48 hours in advance so that our wait list members have enough notice that they are needed. Thank you!
Phoenix Philanthropists Attendance Policy: We understand that plans change and emergencies come up. If you RSVP YES but can no longer attend, PLEASE change your RSVP ASAP. Our charity partners rely on us to attend when we say we will and our attendance policy is intended to ensure we can meet our charity partners' expectations. Please give as much prior notice as possible. No Call/No Shows will be recorded, and after 3 No Call No Shows/month or 6 No Call No Shows/year, you will be removed from the Phoenix Philanthropists MeetUp. Please understand this policy is not intended to penalize our philanthropists, but to ensure we maintain good relationships with our charity partners and can give the most back to our community
The Andre House has been serving the homeless and poor of central Phoenix for more than twenty years. They serve approximately[masked] people an evening. The Andre House also provides medical treatment, laundry facilities, clean clothes, blankets and some counseling to those in need.

We will be helping prep dinner, serve dinner, wash dishes, clean tables and clean the floors. Please do not wear open-toed shoes. Park in the back lot of the facility if there are spots available there. That would be right off of 11th Avenue on Jackson. Sign in under the Phoenix Philanthropists.

Please be aware, as with most soup kitchens, this is a faith-based organization and mission.

Minimum age is 14 accompanied with a parent or guardian.

Thanks for all you do!

This is what one of our members had to say about volunteering at the Andre House:

“ This was a great experience. It is a lot of hard work but it brings a lot of satisfaction when you see the people you are feeding."

Hi, I am extremely sorry I forgot that I was on the wait list. I came back from a camping trip yesterday to realize that I was confirmed for the meetup on Friday. I will make sure this won't happen next time. Thank you.
